...a.k.a. the most detailed pic I've ever tried to do... ever. o.o
This is a birthday gift for my sister's 22nd, tomorrow! Lady Lovelylocks is a character from a show of the same name from back in the 80's that my sister really loved. She was this princess of some sort that had all these little creatures (called Pixietails) living in her hair... rats, birds... stuff like that. The whole show revolved around hair. It was weird, but colorful and kinda pretty. I think... honestly I don't remember it very much.
I worked on this for a bit more than a week and finally finished it tonight. This is a photo because the actual drawing/painting is about 13" by 17" (and believe me, the lines are actually much straighter than they appear here) ... I hate her face, and her neck... probably because the neck is too long and in the wrong position, and her face more closely resembles that of a pig. But it was also the better of about 19 different tries...
micron, watercolor pencils, markers, and gold paint marker on paper!
And of course, Lady Lovelylocks is (c) to her creators of yore.
I HAD THE DOLL!! I LOVED THE DOLL!! I MISS THE DOLL!
You wouldn't remember a series that were little women named after flowers and their clothing was like the petals, they were about the size of your hand or something? Well that's how big they were suppose to be. I remember them being in books.
Anyway, this is lovely and I am glad to see someone remembers her. ^_^ Beautiful.
