Well crap (RE: Account name changes)

So...

When I first joined dA, I signed on as myrcury.

I then forgot I had done so.

I found dA again a month or so later, and signed on as webmyrcury.

That was 10 years ago.

All that time, I wanted so very much to change my name on here to simply "myrcury" without the stupid "web" bit, as I don't remember why I ever put that in there...

About a year ago or so, I got curious if the name myrcury was taken, on here.

I searched it, only to discover that it was none other than ME!!! :faint:

A kindly admin helped me regain entry into that account. :heart:

Fast forward to just recently when I decided to start using the empty 10 year old myrcury account to post my handmade creations in.

Just got that ready to go, and then WHAM!! User names can be changed now!

So...

In a fevered rush of joy, I bought a month sub for the myrcury account so that I could change the name on it to MyrcurysToybox.

Then I came back to webmyrcury, and tried to change it to Myrcury.

"This user name has already been claimed."

FFFFFFFFF.

So... apparently... it was all for nothing. The name Myrcury is unavailable because it is still attached to the account that is now named MyrcurysToybox.

FAIL.

So what do I do now?? Do I waste the month sub and go deactive the MyrcurysToybox account, re-name this account to my much wanted "Myrcury," and then go make a NEW account as MyrcurysToybox?

Or do I just stick with this account under the name it has been all along, *webmyrcury ?

You were actually one of the first people I ever watched on here (when I joined 10 years ago!) but for some reason dA ate my watching of you! O_o Some friends have been fan-squealing about your TMNT involvement recently, and I was like, "Ooh I know that guy! I drew Cleo for him once!" ha! Come to find out, dA decided I shouldn't watch you anymore for some reason. :confused: Very odd. But yes! I am back to stalking you know! :giggle: haha!

wow, long time ago!!! that's okay about DA eating your watch, i think that's happened to me before too, or i'll still be watching a person but none of their pictures show up on my watch or something like that. thanks for sticking around all these years, regardless! :love:
